AT&T Points Plus®

This card is built for existing AT&T customers who can use its monthly credits and billing discounts consistently. As a spending card, it is strongest for gas and EV charging, while the real value comes from pairing everyday purchases with AT&T savings rather than chasing rich rewards rates on their own.

Is the AT&T Points Plus® worth it?

This card is great for...

AT&T bill savings

Gas and EV charging

No annual fee value seekers

Yes, for the right person. If you already use AT&T wireless or eligible internet service and can reliably spend at least $1,000 per billing cycle, this card can return far more value through monthly statement credits and bill discounts than its rewards chart suggests. With no annual fee, that makes it easier to justify than many cards that depend on high spending or a large upfront cost.

It is a weaker fit if you are not deeply in the AT&T ecosystem, if your monthly spending will not regularly clear the $1,000 threshold, or if you want flexible travel rewards. ThankYou points here are worth about 1 cent each, the welcome offer is very small, and the 3% foreign transaction fee makes it a poor card for international use. For most readers, this is a benefits-driven card first and a rewards card second.

MaxRewards

MaxRewards Verdict

The AT&T Points Plus card makes the most sense for loyal AT&T customers who will actually use the monthly credits and billing discounts. Outside that lane, the rewards are modest and the card loses much of its appeal.

Rewards

Rewards percent based on a valuation of 1¢ per ThankYou® point

The rewards setup is straightforward: elevated earnings on gas and EV charging, a smaller bump at grocery stores, and 1 point per dollar everywhere else. Since ThankYou points on this card are effectively cash-like at about 1 cent each, think of the earning rates as simple everyday rebates rather than high-value travel points.

The benefits matter more than the points here. Before focusing on earning rates, look at whether you can consistently unlock the monthly statement credit and make use of the AT&T bill discounts, because that is where this card can deliver outsized value.
