Earning 2.5x miles on travel is solid for a $0 annual fee card, especially with miles valued at 1 cent each, and the straightforward 1x on everything else is easy to understand.

The limitation is that the card does not bring much beyond that one stronger category. There is no welcome bonus, no listed statement credits, and no added travel perks or protections to help separate it from other no-fee options. If your spending is concentrated in travel and you want a simple card to use for flights, hotels, and trip purchases, it can do the job well. If you want stronger everyday rewards or extra card benefits, most readers will likely want a different primary card.
