Paceline

Paceline is built for cardholders whose spending lines up with health and wellness, especially gym memberships, sporting goods, groceries, and drugstores. It works best as a specialist cash-back card you pair with other cards, not as your only everyday card.

Overview

Is the Paceline worth it?

This card is great for...

Gym memberships

Grocery and drugstore spending

Sporting goods purchases

This card is worth a look if you regularly spend in its 5% categories and want simple cash back without tracking points or transfer partners. For someone with ongoing gym costs and steady grocery or drugstore spending, the elevated earn rates can make the card useful despite the $60 annual fee.

The limitation is that there are no listed benefits to help offset that fee, and the card only earns 1% outside its bonus categories. If your spending does not consistently hit those 5% areas, or if you want broader value from travel perks, credits, or a stronger everyday return, this is a narrow fit.

MaxRewards

MaxRewards Verdict

Paceline makes the most sense for a spender who can lean hard on its 5% wellness and household categories. If that is not where most of your spending goes, the annual fee is harder to justify.

Earning

Rewards

Paceline keeps the rewards story straightforward: strong cash back in a small set of categories, then 1% everywhere else. The key question is not how many categories it has, but whether these are categories you use often enough to make the card a regular part of your wallet.
