For the right business, this card is easy to justify. A $95 annual fee is modest if you regularly fly American, and the free checked bag alone can cover that cost quickly on domestic trips. The card also gives you solid, simple earning on American purchases, car rentals, office supplies, and telecom services, plus a small anniversary mileage bonus that adds a bit more value over time.

It is less compelling if your business does not have a strong tie to American Airlines. The rewards rates outside its bonus categories are ordinary, and most of the card's real value comes from airline-specific perks rather than broad travel benefits. If you mostly want flexible rewards or stronger everyday earning, this is probably not the right long-term primary card.
