This card is worth a look if you fly Lufthansa often enough to use the airline-focused perks. The two annual Lufthansa Business Lounge vouchers and the anniversary companion ticket can go a long way toward justifying the $89 annual fee, especially if you regularly book paid Lufthansa trips and can actually use the companion benefit.

For most other travelers, the case is much weaker. Earning 2x miles on Lufthansa purchases and 1x everywhere else is fairly narrow, so this is not the card to carry for everyday spending. If you are not likely to use the lounge vouchers or book a trip where the companion ticket saves real money, there are more flexible travel cards and stronger everyday rewards cards that will fit better.
