Uber Visa

The Uber Visa is built for cardholders who regularly spend with Uber and also put a fair amount toward dining and travel. It works best as a no-annual-fee specialist card for those categories, not as a primary card for all spending.

Overview

Is the Uber Visa worth it?

This card is great for...

Uber rides and orders

Restaurant spending

No-fee international use

This card is worth a look if Uber is already a regular part of your budget and you want a no-annual-fee card that also earns solid rewards on dining, airfare, and hotels. The strongest case is simple: frequent Uber users can get elevated value in a category many cards do not meaningfully reward, and the lack of foreign transaction fees makes it more useful for travel than many no-fee cards.

For most readers, though, this is more of a supporting card than a one-card setup. The rewards are tied to Uber Cash, which is most useful if you will actually spend it with Uber, and the card does not list meaningful ongoing benefits to broaden its appeal. If you do not use Uber often, the card loses much of what makes it distinctive.

MaxRewards

MaxRewards Verdict

A strong fit for frequent Uber users who also spend heavily on dining and some travel. If Uber is only occasional for you, the limited benefits and Uber-focused rewards make it easy to skip.

This card earns Uber Cash, so the value is most straightforward when you already use Uber for rides or orders. The bonus categories are strongest in a few specific areas, with Uber leading the way and dining plus travel helping the card stay useful beyond that.
