For regular transatlantic flyers, the $95 annual fee is exceptionally easy to justify. The 10% discount on British Airways flights booked through the cardholder link can cover the annual fee on a single long-haul ticket, and the statement credits for reward flight taxes and fees add immediate cash-equivalent value for frequent Avios redeemers.
However, the card is less ideal as a primary card for general purchases. Outside of flight purchases across British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, and LEVEL, as well as direct hotel bookings, the earning rates are fairly basic. Cardholders who want flexible points across multiple travel partners may do better with a general travel rewards card.
This card provides excellent value for loyal British Airways travelers who can take advantage of flight discounts, though its modest general earning rates make it a secondary choice for non-travel spending.
