Sapphire Reserve for Business℠

This card is built for business owners who spend heavily on travel and digital advertising, and who will actually use premium travel credits along the way. Sapphire Reserve for Business is not an everyday business card for general expenses, but a high-fee points card aimed at companies that book frequent trips and want strong travel protections, lounge access, and elevated earnings in a few specific categories.

Is the Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ worth it?

This card is great for...

Direct flight and hotel bookings

Digital advertising spend

Premium travel credits

For the right business, this card can justify its $795 annual fee. The clearest fit is an owner or team with regular travel spend, meaningful bookings made either direct or through Chase Travel, and enough flexibility to use the annual travel and hotel credits. The 4x points on flights and hotels booked direct is unusually strong for a premium business card, and the 3x on social media and search engine advertising gives it a second lane of value that many travel cards do not have.

It is a weaker fit if most of your spending falls outside those categories. Everyday purchases only earn 1x, so this should not be your main card for inventory, utilities, shipping, or broad operating expenses. The benefit package is also easier to justify if you already stay in pricier hotels or value airport lounge access and travel insurance. If you would not consistently use the hotel credits, this becomes a much tougher recommendation.

MaxRewards

MaxRewards Verdict

Sapphire Reserve for Business makes sense for businesses that spend a lot on travel and online ads, and that will use its premium travel credits in real life. If your business spending is more general than travel-focused, the annual fee is hard to defend.

Rewards

Rewards percent based on a valuation of 1.25¢ per Ultimate Rewards point

Ultimate Rewards points are most compelling here when your business regularly books travel or runs paid online ads. The card has a few high-value earning lanes, but outside of them it drops back to a standard 1x, so the value depends heavily on how closely your spending matches the bonus categories.

The benefits side of this card is what decides whether the annual fee feels reasonable. Along with strong travel protections and lounge access, most of the practical value comes from annual travel and hotel credits that work best for businesses already booking frequent trips.

Points Boost is a Chase feature that lets you to redeem your Ultimate Rewards points at up to 2 cents each for select flights and hotels booked through Chase Travel, which is double the standard 1 cent per point redemption rate. Cardholders get access to the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club network, on top of over 1,300 Priority Pass Select lounges worldwide. Primary cardholders can bring up to two guests into lounges at no charge, which is a notable advantage over competing premium business cards that have recently limited guest access. The card also includes access to select Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada Cafés in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

Both cards share the same $795 annual fee, lounge access benefits, and $300 annual travel credit. The key differences come down to earning categories and statement credits. The personal card earns 3x on dining and offers lifestyle-focused credits for things like streaming services, DoorDash, and Peloton. The business card replaces dining rewards with 3x on social media and search engine advertising, making it a stronger option for businesses with significant marketing spend. The business card's credits are also geared toward business tools like Google Workspace and ZipRecruiter rather than the consumer-focused perks on the personal card.
